Embers and Ink is an indie small business grown in Sheffield UK by me, Emma Woodthorpe. I am a big believer in the individual's power to make change.<\/p>

In 2017 I started my plastic-free journey in my private life. This started after watching a nature documentary where an albatross colony was dying-off. And when the cameras panned down to the bird carcasses, the reason was clear: plastic. These birds had ingested our plastic-waste. And it was things that could have came from my own house: pen lids, printer cartridges, bottle-tops, toothbrushes.<\/p>

You might not think that the individual has much power for change the world - but the world has been changed so much the worse by individuals acting without thought up until this point.<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>

On that day I ordered by first bamboo toothbrushes and switched to glass milk bottles and I haven't looked back.<\/p>

And then I went plastic-free in my business too...<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>

I fiercely believe that consumers shouldn't be passed on difficult to dispose of waste when they purchase products. So I decided to make Embers and Ink plastic-free.<\/p>

At embersandink.co.uk Embers and Ink posts items plastic-free, my products are plastic-free, they are mostly made of recycled material and are themselves recyclable too. At embersandink.co.uk I also fund tree planting with Ecologi with every purchase.<\/p>

I want to make it as easy for you to help protect the planet as possible. And there's no need to stop buying cool stuff.<\/p>

That's why I partnered with Teemill. They use renewable energy to power their factories, they use natural and organic materials, all their packaging is natural and recyclable, and even better - the teeshirts have been designed to be sent back to them at the end of their life to be recycled and made into new clothes.<\/p>
